Even though the signs at the NYC subway have changed from the original 1970 Unimark designs, they remain close to the original intent of Bob Noorda and Massimo Vignelli. Their staying power is a testament to the simplicity and elegance of the design. This is an iconic transport design that should be remembered and celebrated, and a beautifully printed poster is a great way to get it into people's hands.

Each poster has made two passes through a six colour press, receiving six colours in the first pass, and five in the second. Black was applied last, to avoid smudging.

The size of the poster is 24" x 33 ¼" (610mm x 845mm), it has 11 Pantone® spot colours, it's printed in Italy, and officially licensed by the MTA.

Created by New York City–based designer Hamish Smyth, in collaboration with his girlfriend, Alex Daly, and the MTA; an amazing poster that is an amalgamation of all 468 NYC subway station graphics.
