The Rolls Royce Ghost truncates one of the great names from Rolls-Royce’s past, the Silver Ghost, a moniker that attached itself to the full line of classically reliable and smooth 40/50s produced from 1906 to 1926.
Inside there's the same attention to history with a new, fresh take: wood trim and chrome vent pulls blend in fairly well with a large LCD screen that controls much of the infotainment and climate systems, while warm leather and deep carpeting leaves no doubts as to the Roller's heritage.
But it's the back seat that remains the Rolls-Royce tour de force. The rear-hinged rear doors open to expose a jamb-mounted umbrella--swell—and a ritzy, back seat that swallows two or three guests with a single gulp of over-the-top luxury.
This particular pre-owned model has covered just under 6000 miles, and the list of extras include panoramic sunroof (£3900), picnic tables (£1600), platinum paint (£5000) and 20" alloys (£5000), plus a page long of optional extras. And it's also VAT qualifying.
