Peccary leather is popular for glove production due to its extraordinary characteristics. It is both incredibly durable while being supple and soft.
While the hand sewn seam can rip under extreme conditions, the leather can be re-sewn over and over again. You will likely never be able to destroy peccary leather in the course of normal use, In fact it grows softer the more you wear it.
This leather is derived from the Peccary animal, which is a medium-sized hoofed mammal of the Tayassuidae family and genuine peccary can be identified by three-prong pores.
Peru supplies the best quality hides from wild animals, where they are harvested under strict CITES regulations. The animals are wild, hence little scuffs and marks in the leather are not a defect, but much rather a sign of quality and wild origin.
